Overview

MediaCentral | Newsroom Management Database and Workflow Design covers the iNEWS Client in detail, with emphasis on establishing the appropriate workflow for your MediaCentral | Newsroom Management solution.

Audience

This course is designed for:

  • Key newsroom and control room staff who will lead other staff in adapting to the new environment
  • Representatives from the IT department, who will assist in the implementation of the more technical aspects of the database design process

Prerequisites

  • Experience operating the iNEWS client is useful, but not required
  • A full understanding of newsroom and any other production processes, including the control room during on-air transmission
  • The authority and ability to make decisions and set new newsroom practices—including story development, rundown management, script formats, control room practices, script archiving, etc
  • Experience as a user of the Windows operating system
